Sun is getting higher in the sky at this point. Blacking out the sights helps so much. Today’s 25 yard B-8 replacement center group still trends high, but not dramatically so.

Two weird left and right shots at 25 yards today. Would have been a good group if they had sneaked in with all the others. I’ve noticed that when I get done shooting a good group (like most of today’s) my grip is worn. out. Grip strength is so important.
Test was so-so. Would have been a good run, except for a couple of really high strays.
FAST was really great, new record. Everything clicked really smoothly, although on 3×5 card shot was barely hanging in there.
Still shooting randomly high single handed. Happens with both hands, interestingly.
Oof. Single shot draws from concealment were rough today. Many misses. I don’t know what I expect, though, when I don’t dry fire. Gotta put in the work to see the results.
This is what my current drills work on, when I follow the schedule:
- Pure marksmanship
- Speed (with a doable accuracy goal)
- Drawing from concealment with accuracy to a small target, reload from concealment, come back from reload with emphasis on speed
- Strong hand only shooting
- Weak hand only shooting
- Drawing from concealment to a small target.
All from a single box of 50 rounds, cold, with no warm up.
