Took my target boards out at the range, only to find they were still shot up from last week. I prepped everything else and preloaded the mags, but decided I would repair the targets “later”. Guess when later happened.

Somebody had left some clean 8.5″ paper plates stapled up at 25 yards, so I took advantage of the opportunity to speed things up a bit for a few strings of fire:

  • One shot, from concealment at 25 yards: 2.24 seconds, hit.
  • One shot, from concealment at 25 yards: 2.35 seconds, hit.
  • Five shots, from concealment at 25 yards: 7.74 seconds, four hits.
  • Five shots, from concealment at 25 yards: 7.55 seconds, four hits.
  • Five shots, from concealment at 25 yards: 10.64, five hits.

The remainder of today’s 50 rounds was fired at 10 yards at an index card, while just focusing on what the gun does when it goes off.

Getting a solid grip, then prepping the trigger and aligning the sights always works, no matter what.
